The Only Da Nang Vietnam Itinerary You Need: A 6-Day DIY Guide ๐Ÿ‡ป๐Ÿ‡ณ

The Only Da Nang Vietnam Itinerary You Need: A 6-Day DIY Guide ๐Ÿ‡ป๐Ÿ‡ณ

From the Dragon Bridge to the Golden Bridge โ€” here's the complete 6-day Da Nang Vietnam itinerary covering beaches, theme parks, and mountain getaways.

The Only Da Nang Vietnam Itinerary You Need: A 6-Day DIY Guide ๐Ÿ‡ป๐Ÿ‡ณ

Wag kang pupunta ng Da Nang Vietnam kung hindi ganito ang itinerary mo. Bakit? Because this route covers everything that makes Da Nang and the surrounding area genuinely worth the trip โ€” beaches, theme parks, mountain getaways, and the lantern-lit charm of Hoi An, all in one well-paced week. Save and share this so you can easily find it again. Ganito lang 'yan! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Day 1: Arrival in Da Nang + Dragon Bridge ๐Ÿ‰โœˆ๏ธ

Your trip begins at Da Nang International Airport. The airport is fairly small, so navigating through it is quick and straightforward.

๐Ÿ’ฌ Drop a comment if you want a full Da Nang airport arrivals guide โ€” let me know and I'll put one together.

From the airport, head straight to your hotel near My Khe Beach. I recommend Avatar Da Nang Hotel โ€” it's literally a 2-3 minute walk to the beach, with plenty of 24/7 convenience stores nearby and easy access to popular local restaurants.

You can book this or any hotel worldwide via Agoda and use my promo code for up to 10% off or โ‚ฑ5,900. It's redeemable up to 5 times.

๐Ÿ’ก Pro Tip: Use promo code HEYIANCHOTEL on Agoda to claim the discount.

Since check-in is at 2pm, kill the wait time properly โ€” eat first. We went to Madame Lan, a Michelin Selected restaurant. We may have over-ordered, but everything was genuinely delicious. Standout dish for me: their corn cream coffee. Try it.

Visit the Dragon Bridge ๐Ÿ‰๐ŸŒ‰

Before the day winds down, make time for the Dragon Bridge (Cแบงu Rแป“ng) โ€” Da Nang's most iconic landmark. The bridge is shaped like a massive dragon stretching across the Han River, and it's a sight worth seeing both in daylight and after dark when it lights up.

โš ๏ธ Pro Tip: If you can time it right, the dragon breathes fire and water on Saturday and Sunday nights at 9:00 PM. Check the current schedule before you go since timing can shift seasonally. Even outside the fire show, the bridge lit up at night makes for one of the best photo spots in the city.

It's a quick, easy stop to close out your arrival day โ€” walking distance from the city center and an easy way to get a feel for Da Nang before diving into the rest of the itinerary.

Day 2: My Khe Beach + VinWonders ๐Ÿ–๏ธ๐ŸŽข

Start the day early at My Khe Beach before the sun gets too intense. It's also one of the best spots to catch sunrise โ€” which is probably why so many locals are out running here in the early morning.

Beach chairs are available for rent at VND 40,000 (around โ‚ฑ93) each. Worth it for a relaxed morning by the water.

After the beach, head to VinWonders โ€” a theme park, water park, and safari all rolled into one massive complex.

๐Ÿ’ก Pro Tip: Get the ticket with Buggy Service through Agoda. The park is huge, and walking the whole thing โ€” especially in the heat โ€” gets exhausting fast. There's also a promo code available for up to 5% off.

Rides here suit all ages, and there's an indoor section that's perfect for smaller kids who need a break from the heat.

Day 3: Sun World Ba Na Hills (Overnight) โ›ฐ๏ธ

Time to head up to Sun World Ba Na Hills. If you're only doing a day trip, go as early as possible. We booked an overnight stay at the Mercure Hotel in the French Village, so we didn't have to rush.

โš ๏ธ Note: Whether you're doing a day trip or staying overnight, a cable car ticket is required to get up. You can book a roundtrip ticket via Agoda, and there's also an option with a combo lunch buffet at the Four Seasons Restaurant โ€” worth considering if you want a sit-down meal included.

After checking in, spend the rest of the day exploring the park. Fair warning: expect crowds.

Day 4: Explore Ba Na Hills ๐ŸŒ‰

Start the day early while the park is still quiet. This is your window to:

  • ๐ŸŒ‰ Visit the Golden Bridge โ€” the famous bridge held up by giant stone hands
  • ๐ŸŽข Ride the Alpine Coaster
  • ๐Ÿšถ Explore the rest of the park at a relaxed pace before it fills up
๐Ÿ’ฌ A full dedicated Ba Na Hills guide is in the works โ€” bookmark this post and check back for the link once it's published.

Day 5: Hoi An Ancient Town ๐Ÿฎ๐ŸŒ™

Day 5 is all about Hoi An. Don't skip these:

  • ๐Ÿ›ถ Coconut Boat Tour โ€” a fun, slightly chaotic ride through the water coconut forest
  • ๐Ÿฎ Hoai River Lanterns โ€” float a lantern down the river as the sun sets
  • ๐Ÿšถ Ancient Town walking tour โ€” narrow streets, heritage architecture, and endless photo spots
  • ๐ŸŽญ Hoi An Memories Show โ€” a large-scale outdoor performance that tells the story of Hoi An's history. A Hoi An visit isn't complete without seeing it.

Day 6: Last-Minute Shopping + Departure ๐Ÿ›๏ธโœˆ๏ธ

Use your final day for last-minute shopping before flying back to the Philippines. Hoi An and Da Nang both have plenty of markets and shops for souvenirs โ€” tailored clothing, lanterns, and local crafts are popular picks.
