Day 1: Arrival in Da Nang + Dragon Bridge 🐉✈️

Your trip begins at Da Nang International Airport. The airport is fairly small, so navigating through it is quick and straightforward.

Since check-in is at 2pm, kill the wait time properly — eat first. We went to Madame Lan, a Michelin Selected restaurant. We may have over-ordered, but everything was genuinely delicious. Standout dish for me: their corn cream coffee. Try it.

Visit the Dragon Bridge 🐉🌉

Before the day winds down, make time for the Dragon Bridge (Cầu Rồng) — Da Nang's most iconic landmark. The bridge is shaped like a massive dragon stretching across the Han River, and it's a sight worth seeing both in daylight and after dark when it lights up.

⚠️ Pro Tip: If you can time it right, the dragon breathes fire and water on Saturday and Sunday nights at 9:00 PM. Check the current schedule before you go since timing can shift seasonally. Even outside the fire show, the bridge lit up at night makes for one of the best photo spots in the city.

It's a quick, easy stop to close out your arrival day — walking distance from the city center and an easy way to get a feel for Da Nang before diving into the rest of the itinerary.

Day 2: My Khe Beach + VinWonders 🏖️🎢

Start the day early at My Khe Beach before the sun gets too intense. It's also one of the best spots to catch sunrise — which is probably why so many locals are out running here in the early morning.

Beach chairs are available for rent at VND 40,000 (around ₱93) each. Worth it for a relaxed morning by the water.

After the beach, head to VinWonders — a theme park, water park, and safari all rolled into one massive complex.

Day 3: Sun World Ba Na Hills (Overnight) ⛰️

Time to head up to Sun World Ba Na Hills. If you're only doing a day trip, go as early as possible. We booked an overnight stay at the Mercure Hotel in the French Village, so we didn't have to rush.

⚠️ Note: Whether you're doing a day trip or staying overnight, a cable car ticket is required to get up. You can book a roundtrip ticket via Agoda, and there's also an option with a combo lunch buffet at the Four Seasons Restaurant — worth considering if you want a sit-down meal included.

After checking in, spend the rest of the day exploring the park. Fair warning: expect crowds.

Day 4: Explore Ba Na Hills 🌉

Start the day early while the park is still quiet. This is your window to:

• 🌉 Visit the Golden Bridge — the famous bridge held up by giant stone hands
• 🎢 Ride the Alpine Coaster
• 🚶 Explore the rest of the park at a relaxed pace before it fills up

Day 5: Hoi An Ancient Town 🏮🌙

Day 5 is all about Hoi An. Don't skip these:

• 🛶 Coconut Boat Tour — a fun, slightly chaotic ride through the water coconut forest
• 🏮 Hoai River Lanterns — float a lantern down the river as the sun sets
• 🚶 Ancient Town walking tour — narrow streets, heritage architecture, and endless photo spots
• 🎭 Hoi An Memories Show — a large-scale outdoor performance that tells the story of Hoi An's history. A Hoi An visit isn't complete without seeing it.

Day 6: Last-Minute Shopping + Departure 🛍️✈️

Use your final day for last-minute shopping before flying back to the Philippines. Hoi An and Da Nang both have plenty of markets and shops for souvenirs — tailored clothing, lanterns, and local crafts are popular picks.
